Mission Statement

Cheaper Business Energy exists to provide our customers with a secure and objective facility to procure cheaper business energy.

Until recently, for most business energy consumers, energy costs were considered of marginal significance. Since government deregulation of the energy market many companies, particularly those who were unable to support a full facilities management team, have found the energy market increasingly confusing. Smaller businesses with high energy use have probably been the most bewildered, often assuming that the energy market is more actively regulated than it actually is, meaning that they were happy to place their trust in their would-be supplier as long as that supplier was a household name. In the main they would be completely ignorant of the fact that competition between the major suppliers of energy has reached warlike proportions. Many energy suppliers now employ so-called “direct” sales teams employing increasingly sharper sales technique. Verbal contracts have muddied the water even more, with occasional cases of blatant misrepresentation and huge numbers of cases pending in the courts. So where does a business energy user place his trust, where does he seek professional and objective advice, with confidence that his interests will be paramount?

The simple way to answer the above question is to ask yourself who do these people work for? If it is a Supplier’s direct sales team then they are paid commission to sell that company’s products. If it is a broker, in most cases, they will have a relationship with one particular supplier, so once again they are commission-driven to sell one company’s products.

The only way to be certain that you obtain the best value from the energy market is to invite all potential suppliers for your site to offer a bespoke trade price. For most managers of small or medium-sized businesses this would be impossible without professional help, due to the amount of time and the degree of technical knowledge required.

Cheaper Business Energy was created in an attempt to provide all business managers with the facility to request a tender from all relevant suppliers at will. Sophisticated software then takes the bids returned from the suppliers and produces a proposal. The proposal lists every cost element of every bid, and provides a comparative analysis with your current costs and with the other bids.

Cheaper Business Energy is not allied to any particular supplier, so the analysis that we provide is completely objective. This service is free to the user, should you choose to accept a bid then the winning supplier will pay Cheaper Business Energy a finder’s fee. Hence you will never be invoiced by us for any of our services.
